Feet Measurement

When choosing suitable footwear, it is extremely important to measure the child's feet properly.

Every child has a different foot size, both in length and width, and the choice of footwear should reflect these individual differences. The footwear should fit the foot, not the foot any type of footwear.

Measuring your feet before buying shoes ensures a perfect fit and respect for your joints.

Appropriate footwear is essential to provide greater comfort, allowing the child to move freely, explore the world safely and have healthy foot development.

Useful tips

Measure both feet and consider the larger measurement to choose the correct size.

To measure the length, always consider the longest finger , even if it is the 2nd finger and not the 1st finger.

Use a sharp pencil to reduce the margin of error.

Measure the feet with socks on , if the shoe is to be worn with socks.

Measure the feet on average once a month (it varies with age and growth spurts).

Common mistakes

Measure just one of the feet.

Measure the feet in a sitting position.

Ask them to lift their big finger and feel if it is too far forward.

Drawing lines with deviation at the heel or not correctly identifying the longest toe.

Position the pencil lying down and not perpendicular to the foot when making the outline.

Use a tape measure where the numbering is not visible from the beginning, such as soft tape measures that have a metal plate at the beginning.
